Consultation on draft recommendations for accessibility standards
The Nova Scotia Accessibility Advisory Board has drafted recommendations on the following accessibility standards:
- Information and communication
- Public transportation
Accessibility standards, once approved, are regulations or laws that help make Nova Scotia accessible.
The Board would like your feedback on their draft recommendations.
You can find the draft recommendations on the menu to the right. There are also summaries in American Sign Language, French, and plain language.
Thinkwell Research and Strategy is helping with the consultation.
How to give feedback
1. Register for an online feedback session.
You can give feedback at an online session. There are sessions for the following groups:
- general public
- people who work in public transportation
- people who work in information and communication
- business and private sector
To attend a session, you need to register. Click here to register for an online feedback session.
2. Give feedback in writing, audio or video.
You can upload your feedback using the button “Submit feedback” at the bottom of this page.

3. Give feedback by phone.

How feedback will be used
Your feedback will be put in a report with feedback from other people. Your name will not be in the report. The report will be given to the Accessibility Advisory Board. They will use the feedback to make their final recommendations for Public Transportation and for Information and Communication accessibility standards to the Minister responsible for the Accessibility Act.
